I am very happy that some aspects of the drama stay true to the manga. I really enjoyed this episode because Jiro does an awesome job as Night. I still, however, can not get over Ku Hye Sun's dubbed voice. I do love her acting and I think she was the perfect selection for this drama.
When reading the comments, I noticed that a lot of viewers had two major concerns:
1) That they are not in High School
2) The drama may end like the manga (spoiler alert)
Well first of all, I like the fact that they are not in HS, I think that a lot of the stuff in Yuu Watase's manga was a bit too mature for HS students. Anyway, especially in this episode, it would be odd that HS students are going around looking for a job at a nightclub etc. I think that the fact that they are working adds flexibility and makes a bit more sense than the manga in that aspect (who leaves a 16 year old girl to live by herself).
Regarding the second point, I think it is a bit too soon to tell what the outcome of the drama may be but it is progressing nicely and I think that the 13 episode mark is enough for the entire plot of the manga.
The ending song, though is so ominous and with Ku Hye Sun's emotional scenes and when Jiro hits the floor seems to imply that very sad scenes are going to be in the drama.
Well that's my thoughts on episode 2, can't wait for the others.
